Offering an individualised, supportive and friendly approach, I have more than twenty years’ experience delivering French language tuition to children, young people and adults. I achieved a distinction/grade A in the spoken section of A level French and am a European Business Studies graduate (with a French specialism). I have the 7307 FE and Adult Education Teachers’ Certificate (Stage One). This qualification included teaching practice. For almost a decade I worked in French language writing/moderating roles for an English exam board (including at a senior level).
I also have many years’ experience delivering my Early French Learning nursery programme for 3-5 year olds (small groupworks) and after school French Clubs in primary schools and community centres (4-11 year olds).
1:1 French tuition is normally carried out weekly/fortnightly (term time), normally in your own home or currently (April 2020) via Skype, FaceTime, Zoom or similar. Tuition can be carried out at other times by prior arrangement.
I have a DBS Enhanced Certificate (issued March 2020). In March 2020 I achieved a CACHE VRQ qualification in Children and Young People’s Mental Health. In April 2020 I successfully completed Continuing Professional Development courses including Safeguarding, Health & Safety and Equality-Diversity-Inclusion.
